No chimney? Wooden walls? New 5kW stove installed with granite hearth and stainless steel chimney
The inside of the building before we started...
...and the outside!
The hole through the wall is cut, the granite hearth is in place inside, the stove is in position and the the first pieces of the chimney system are set up. The bracket you can see is the main support for the chimney and it is crucial that the position of this is perfect. We've also cut, fixed and sealed our custom décor plate to cover the hole through the wall. The scaffold tower is ready to build the next stage of the chimney and the wall has been masked off so that we can touch up some scratched paint.
We've now fitted the bespoke support bracket made in our workshop to match the angle of the flue bends and have built the rest of the chimney system. All the clamps are being secured here to hold the chimney to the bracket.
Now we're getting there! Just sorting out some masking off before finishing the painting. We paint our own flue pipes because things always get scratched during installation works and we can then touch them up so that everything is perfect.
As this picture shows, the bracket we made follows the line of chimney so that when you look from the front the bracket won't be seen.
There we are!
The new Stovax Stockton 5 Midline stove is now installed and is lit and tested before being handed over to our clients.
